The first day of
4 days from Marrakech to merzouga desert tour begins in
Marrakech, proceeding through the High Atlas Mountains via steep, winding roads, culminating in the
Tizi n’Tichka pass at 2260 meters above sea level. This high mountain pass offers breathtaking views of the surrounding landscapes. Our journey takes us to one of the tour's highlights, the UNESCO World Heritage site of Kasbah Ait Ben Haddou, a fortified village along the historic caravan route between the Sahara Desert and Marrakech. Renowned for its ancient charm, Ait Ben Haddou has served as a backdrop for numerous internationally acclaimed films shot in Morocco.
Continuing our route, we traverse the Valley of Thousand Kasbahs before arriving at our hotel in the Dades Valley for the night.
Day 2: Dades Valley – Tinghir – El jorf – Erfoud - Merzouga
Enjoy a hearty breakfast at the hotel in Boumalne Dades Valley to kick off the second day of our adventure. We'll embark on a scenic four-hour drive towards
Merzouga, with opportunities to explore Tinghir and walk through the Todra oasis and canyons. Along the way, we'll visit Erfoud and Rissani, adding cultural depth to our journey.br
Upon arrival in Merzouga, the excitement continues with optional activities such as a thrilling 4x4 excursion into the desert to explore remote areas and enjoy panoramic views. For those seeking adventure, quad biking through the dunes offers an exhilarating experience.
Later in the afternoon, we'll meet our camel caravan for a magical one-hour ride through the Erg Chebbi Dunes, timed perfectly to witness the Saharan sunset. Our day concludes with an unforgettable overnight stay at a traditional desert camp, where we'll enjoy a hearty dinner under the starry desert sky.
Day 3: Merzouga – rissani – alnif – nkob - Agdz
After a fulfilling breakfast at our Bedouin camp in Merzouga, we will embark on the next leg of our journey. Our route takes us through the captivating landscapes of Rissani, Alnif, Tazarine, and Nkob, each offering unique cultural and natural attractions.
In Rissani, explore the vibrant local markets and historical sites that highlight the region's rich history. Alnif, known for its fossil discoveries, provides a glimpse into Morocco's geological heritage. Tazarine and Nkob offer picturesque views of the desert oasis and traditional Berber villages, showcasing the region's authentic charm.
Our journey culminates in the arrival at Agdz in the late afternoon. Agdz is a tranquil oasis town nestled in the Draa Valley, renowned for its palm groves and traditional mud-brick architecture. Enjoy leisure time in the afternoon, relaxing near the pool or embark on a leisurely walk to explore the Agdz palm grove villages, soaking in the serene ambiance and local hospitality. DAY 4: Agdz – OUARZAZATE- ATLAS MOUNTAINS- MARRAKECH
After breakfast in Agdz, we'll depart for Marrakech via
Ouarzazate. We'll journey through the scenic Draa Valley, passing by picturesque palm groves and traditional Berber villages. Arriving in Ouarzazate, known as the gateway to the Sahara, we can visit the historic Kasbah Taourirt before continuing our drive.
Crossing the High Atlas Mountains via the Tizi n’Tichka pass, we'll enjoy breathtaking views of the mountainous landscape and Berber communities.
